After 5¾ years in development, the Hexen project known as Serpent: Resurrection has been released. A brief description of the project is below: 25 fantasy-themed maps. A scripted RPG system. New weapons, monsters and items. Partially dynamic gameplay. A more detailed description (plus screenshots) can be found here. GZdoom is more or less windows only, right ? Would it work in Vavoom ? I already have it set up. I'm intrigued by shiny new gameplay.

I DL and ran it, and I got a black screen with the game still running, what did I do wrong?

GZDoom only I'm afraid. I dunno what would cause a black screen like that...are you using a version of GZDoom from the link I posted to run it? (if so I can only see it being hardware related...try running GZDoom on it's own and see what happens)

GZDoom by itself and with other MODs works fine, this one causes black screen, did you use some high end sprites or something?

ah, this is why I have been so confused hearing of this being released. It was released in beta and this is final.
